The offense worked on its game earlier this summer at Camp Bobcat in Ross County, an annual ritual that has strengthened team bonds for the past five years.

VARSITY 'CATS CONTINUE TWO-A-DAYS
The 2009 edition of the GHHS varsity squad enters into its second week of two-a-day practices on Monday, August 10th. Head Coach Jason Peters likes the way his team is shaping up. "We're ahead of where we were at the same time last year," Peters told his team's parents during a meeting Saturday evening. "This group is very close and is working hard to achieve our goals."

The Varsity 'Cats host a three-way scrimmage at Anderson Field, with Buckeye Valley and Briggs, this Saturday beginning at 10:00am. The following Friday, the Bobcats welcome the Columbus Academy Vikings to Grandview for their second and final scrimmage, also beginning at 10:00am.

FIVE ALUMS TO SUIT UP ON SATURDAYS
Five former Bobcats will take the college field this fall. Three players from the class of 2006, Chad Davis, Ben Graves, and Alex Rouch, along with two from the class of 2009, Russ Cheney and Casey Rouch, will represent the GHHS program at the next level, playing in five different programs.

Graves, a wide receiver, transferred to Illinois State prior to this season where he will be a red-shirt junior. Davis, an offensive tackle, and Alex Rouch, a quarterback, enter their final seasons, Davis at Capital University and Rouch at Chapman University in Orange, California. Cheney, a defensive end, and Casey Rouch, a tight end, will begin their college careers as freshman at the College of Wooster and John Carroll University, respectively.
