Diamond Club
The Grandview Heights Diamond
Club is made up of the players' parents, family members, and friends, as well as members of the community, who work to support the baseball program in the Grandview Heights school system. Direct donations and funds from various fundraising activities become part of the
club's general fund and are used to sustain and support the baseball program.
In the last three years, the Diamond Club has helped the program purchase:
1. An outfield fence and protective tubing
2. A utility vehicle to maintain the field (the “Gator”)
3. A remotely controlled scoreboard
4. Wind screening for the perimeter and outfield fences
5. Equipment for the GHHS weight room
The Diamond Club also provides:
1. Umpire fees for selected Middle School regular season games
2. Umpire fees for High School summer team games
3. Baseball clothing for Middle School and High School coaches
4. Memorial Field clean-up costs
5. A $500 college scholarship to a senior player
6. Liability insurance costs for play at Memorial Field
7. Doubleheader food costs for Bobcat and visiting team players
8. The Club web site: ghbaseball.com
9. Concession stand at High School games
The Diamond Club raises money through the sale of signage at Memorial Field (outfield and scoreboard), Club memberships, and other fundraising activities, such as the semi-annual Honeybaked Ham Sale.
Diamond Club members have also donated items to the program, such as practice baseballs, and have provided practice and in-game support, such as throwing batting practice, scorekeeping, and announcing over the P.A. system.
To join or to learn more about the Diamond Club, please contact Kevin Rouch by e-mail at info@ghbaseball.com or by telephone at 614.203.7911.
